Superhero Students

Tim had, actually, had a large number of superheroes in civilian guise in his classes over the years. Some of them knew he knew, and others had no clue. Most of them never had any idea that they were in the same class as some of their colleagues. It didn't, any of it, make any difference to Tim. Sure, sometimes they came to class or exams after they'd been doing battle for 48 hours straight, but that was no reason to be lenient. They were in his class because he taught what they needed to know (or at the very least, should know), and when they had to use the knowledge they gained in his class they wouldn't have the luxury of asking for an extension. The people they were tracing down wouldn't make it easier on them because they'd been sleeping during class. And, yeah, few of his superhero students returned to thank him for what he'd taught him, because most of them didn't know who he used to be or that he knew who they were, and it could be kind of awkward if they returned and said, "Thanks for teaching that so well, it really saved my bacon," and he asked them when it saved their bacon and they couldn't say anything because it was when they were chasing down Mirror Master. But he still had friends in the community, and they told him how all of his former students raved about him, and how there was a definite difference between those who'd taken his classes and those who hadn't.
